What is good: The interaction between the men and Akira (Suga)
What is bad: The storyline drags at the end.

Plot: Kano Masako (Fukada) contracts HIV after prostituting herself in order to buy tickets for a concert featuring her favorite composer, Ishikawa Keigo (Kaneshiro). Keigo, who lost his previous lover to death, finds the will to live again when he meets the high school girl.
What is good: Some parts of the story bring out a deep emotional response.
What is bad: The writers couldn’t really decide whose story this was.

Title: Paradise Kiss

Plot: Despite studying as hard as she can, Hayasaka Yukari (Kitagawa) doesn’t so as well at school as her mother would like. One day, she is asked to model for a group of student fashion designers. Torn between what she is supposed to do and what she wants to do, the “Paradise Kiss” designers somehow manage to help her find her way in life.
What is good: Mukai did an awfully good job as Koizumi.
What is bad: Yamamoto’s Tokumori role seemed unnecessary.

Plot: Sasaki Norimichi (Inagaki) and his wife, Ritsuko (Koyuki), constantly battle each other. The two lawyers take their fight to court and put their marriage on the line.
What is good: Some of the comedy bits are quite funny.
What is bad: The character of Ritsuko is a bit too much. I don’t think anyone could put up living with her.

Plot: Shinagawa Daichi (Narimiya) used to be a good student. Now he is a yankee deliquent. He meets Adachi Hana (Naka) and finds out her secret. She used to be a yankee. Adachi takes it upon herself to reform Shinagawa’s bad habits.
What is good: I love Narimiya’s facial expressions!
What is bad: Some of the side characters are a little one-dimensional.

What is good: Amami Yuki is an amazing actress.
What is bad: Kimoto (Toda) is missing from most of the series.

Plot: A rag-tag group of customers that frequent a cafe called Manhattan fall in and out of love with each other.
What is good: Matsuoka can be hysterical as Tencho, the owner of Manhattan.
What is bad: The show doesn’t really get good until about episode 4.

What is good: Gekidan Hitori!
What is bad: The side story with Tamaki’s brother, Taizou (Muro), is dull.
Letter rating: B+

Plot: Tottori Kenichi (Shun) is a extremely talented veterinarian, which has earned him the nickname “Dolittle.” Unfortunately, he is quite rude to the humans that accompany his animal patients. His friend, Hanabishi Masaru (Narimiya), is a famous “Charisma Vet” who is afraid of operating on animals. Together, with nurse Tajima Asuka (Inoue), they try to save as many animals as they can.
What is good: Oguri tackles another new character type! Yay!
What is bad: It can be difficult to like the characters.
Letter rating: C+

What is good: The characters seem to have grown up a bit.
What is bad: The big payoff is missing.
